Palworld dedicated servers on PS5 and Mac — what's supported
Good news: PlayStation 5 and macOS players can play together with everyone else on a Palworld dedicated server. The details differ by platform, so here's exactly what works and how each one connects.
Who can join, and how
A single dedicated server can host Steam, Xbox, Microsoft Store / Game Pass PC, macOS and PS5 players together. What changes is the way each one connects:
| Platform | How it joins your server |
|---|---|
| Steam (PC) | Direct IP + port, or the in-game server list |
| Microsoft Store / Game Pass (PC) | In-game Community Servers list |
| Xbox (console) | Community Servers list only — no IP entry |
| PlayStation 5 | Community Servers list only — no IP entry |
| macOS | In-game Community Servers list |
PlayStation 5
PS5 players join only through the in-game Community Servers list— there is no way to enter an IP on console. So your server must be published as a community server for them to find it. Once it's listed, they search by name and join.
If your PS5 friend can't see the server, this guide walks through the fix.
macOS
The Mac version connects like the other PC clients: players can use the in-game server list, and typically a direct address as well. Mac players generally don't hit the console-only limitation — but publishing your server as a community server is still the most reliable way for everyone to find it.
